𝗔𝗞𝗙𝗜𝗫 𝟭𝟬𝟬𝗘 is a one-component acetoxy cure silicone sealant that can be used for a variety of common sealing and glazing jobs. It has good adhesion and may be used on a variety of non-porous building materials. One of the most notable advantages of acetoxy sealants is that they dry much faster than neutral cure silicone — in fact, acetoxy silicone frequently becomes tack-free in minutes, however, it is crucial to note that it may take up to 24 hours to fully cure. Finally, acetoxy's quick dry time is an advantage, especially for those working on a deadline-driven project. 𝗜𝗡𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗨𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦 ✔️Ensure that surfaces to be sealed are clean, dry and grease-free. ✔️The application temperature must be between +41°F and +104°F. ✔️ In order to reduce the deformations of the joints, their depth must be much less than their width, the minimum dimensions are 0.19x0.19 in. , for wider joints, the depth should be preferably half of the width and it is adjusted by the use of backup material. ✔️After the application, the sealant must be tooled with light pressure within 5 minutes to spread the material against the joint surfaces and to obtain a professional finish. ✔️ Excess uncured sealant may be cleaned with solvent. Cured sealant can be removed barely mechanically. ✔️0.23 in. joint depth is recommended for joint widths between 0.23 in. to 0.47 in. ✔️Joint width and depth ratio should be about 2:1. 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗜𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦 ✔️ It must not be used in totally confined spaces where sealant cannot cure due to lack of atmospheric moisture. ✔️ Not recommended to use on porous surfaces like marble, natural stone, concrete etc. ✔️ Because of acidic curing, it must not be used on mirrors and sensitive metals like copper, brazen, or lead. ✔️ Not over paintable. ✔️ Do not use in conjunction with bitumen asphalt, neoprene and certain organic elastomers. ✔️ It is not suitable for food contact applications. ✔️ Do not contact with water.
