Q:Can this borescope inspect the inside of a car engine? Will it be damaged by high temperatures?
A:Absolutely! This borescope features an IP68 waterproof and oil-resistant design. The probe tip is made of high-temperature-resistant materials, capable of withstanding environments up to 80°C (176°F). It's perfect for confined, high-heat areas such as car engines and transmissions. Equipped with 4 high-brightness adjustable LED lights, it delivers clear images even in oily conditions. For best results, insert the probe about 10 minutes after the engine is turned off.
Q:Can the camera maintain its position after I release the joystick? I noticed it automatically returns to its original position.
A:To protect the articulation mechanism, the camera automatically returns to its default position when the joystick is released. To address this, we’ve added a freeze button (snowflake icon above the photo button) that allows you to instantly lock the current view, so you can safely release the joystick while observing or recording the inspection angle—improving both efficiency and convenience.
Q:Why can’t the probe bend to 190°? How do I use it correctly?
A:When using the borescope with a long snake cable, ensure the cable is kept straight and not coiled or knotted. This allows the probe to reach bending angles of 190°, or even up to 210°, smoothly.
Q:What is the diameter of the borescope probe?
A:The probe diameter is approximately 0.25 inches (6.3mm), smaller than 6.5mm. It comes with a 3.3 ft (1m) or 5.0 ft (1.5m) flexible cable.
Q:What should I do if the image is blurry?
A:There are two common reasons:
1、Dirty probe – Gently wipe the lens with a dust-free cloth.
2、Out of focus – Make sure the probe is within the optimal depth of field (10mm+).
